This position is an entry level management position into Century 21 Action, Inc.’s rental division. It is a full time position within the company comprised of work any of the seven days of the week, dependent on seasons, workload, and general scheduling.

Job Description

• Oversees, manages, and conducts necessary tasks associated with the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments.  Schedules, Verifies, and Approves work orders, reports, and quality of work.  Assists in managing new and existing relationships with vendors.

  Conducts property/quality ratings of vacation rental properties based on a worldwide benchmark.  Works with property owners, coworkers, and vendors in the explanation of ratings, replacements and upgrades, and maintenance issues.

  This is a hands on job.  Visits to rental properties in the Greater Topsail Island area is a normal part of weekly duties for purposes of inspecting cleaning jobs, repair and replacement work, performing ratings, etc.

Skills/Experience Needed

• An uncompromising attitude in regards to demanding top quality work out of vendors and employees.

  The ideal candidate will: A) have extensive travel experience in order to put a world-wide quality benchmark in perspective when rating properties, B)  Will be familiar and current with furniture, fixture, and decorating options across all budget levels, C)  Have an eye or knack for interior design.

  Experience with preparing and making professional presentations, both paper and in-person, to Clients.

  The ability to diagnosis, and possibly perform, basic household repair and maintenance issues, and cleaning tasks; both on-sight at properties and over the phone with Guests and Property Owners.

  Experience in managing both employees and outside vendors/subcontractors.

  Intermediate computer skills; specifically with Microsoft Office products, the internet, and other web based systems.
