4th of July in Topsail: Celebrate Independence Day 2014 on the Beach

The Fourth of July holiday weekend is upon us. Have you made plans? Why not consider spending Independence Day on the beach? In addition to pristine sands, sparkling Atlantic waters and plenty of fun in the sun, there are also some special events surrounding the July 4th holiday here on Topsail Island and in the surrounding area. Check out what's happening and make plans to join us.
Bring your favorite comfy chair or a blanket and get ready for the fireworks display that begins at 9p.m. Limited parking is available at Soundside Park. Alcoholic beverages and coolers are not permitted.
The Carolina Band performs at 7p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9p.m. Join us for all of the Independence Day fun. Holly Ridge is located off Highway 17 and is a short 5-mile drive from Topsail Island.
Wilmington is about a 45-minute drive from Topsail Island, but with the high volume of traffic you can expect to encounter delays. When leaving the downtown area after the fireworks, prepare yourself for the possibility of 1-2 hour traffic delays.

Surf City Independence Day Celebration at Soundside Park
Start the festivities off early by coming to the Town of Surf City Independence Day Celebration, which begins on Thursday evening, July 3 at Soundside Park. Enjoy live music by the Mark Roberts Band starting at 6p.m. as well as your favorite beach concessions like hot dogs, popcorn, soda and more. Holly Ridge Municipal Park is the place to be on Friday, July 4. 4th of July Celebration in Downtown Wilmington on Water Street
