September in Topsail: Surf City Blues Festival, Muscadine Harvest Festival & NC Spot Festival

In addition to the excellent conditions, September in Topsail also brings festivals to the area. Here’s what you’ll find this month. Visit one or visit them all!
Surf City Blues Festival
Soundside Park is the venue for the annual Surf City Blues Festival on Saturday, September 6. The all-day festival includes family-friendly fun combined with beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. 9th Annual North Carolina Muscadine Festival
The 2014 Muscadine Harvest Festival celebrates North Carolina’s state fruit, as well as the nation’s first cultivated grape on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 from 10a.m. to 7p.m. at the Duplin County Events Center in Kenansville.The 10th Annual Muscadine Festival features over 250 wines along with musical concerts, arts and crafts, food, children’s activities and more. Bring your friends for some fabulous tailgating as you enjoy the live music. There are cooking and wine-making contests, too. You can purchase advance tickets here.
54th Annual North Carolina Spot Festival
Hampstead hosts its annual North Carolina Spot Festival on Saturday, September 27 from 9a.m. to 10:30p.m. and Sunday, September 28 from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Enjoy live music, kids activities, arts and crafts, pageants, fireworks and more. Don’t leave without trying an authentic Southern Spot dinner served with traditional sides including hush puppies, french fries and coleslaw.Admission to the NC Spot Festival is $3; children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
