Surf City Christmas Tree in Soundside ParkYour first stop should be to Soundside Park in Surf City as you crossover the drawbridge. The Surf City Christmas Tree is lit and is stunning. It really lights up the night and its brilliance is only enhanced by its reflection off the local waters. Bring your camera!
Topsail Island's Hometown ChristmasNext on your list should definitely be to check out the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce's Hometown Christmas page on Facebook. It's your one-stop source for shopping locally on the island. The Hometown Christmas page keeps you updated with local sales and specials going on during the holiday season, special events, seasonal discounts and drawings, and so much more from the small businesses in the Topsail area.
December Dash 5k & Fun Run in Surf CityMark your calendars for Topsail's holiday events that are fun for the whole family. The December Dash kicks off the December 6 weekend with a 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run beginning at 9a.m. on Saturday at the Surf City Community Center. Don't forget your canned food items or boxed goods donation�and your costume!
Topsail Beach Christmas ParadeThe Topsail Beach Christmas Parade fills the streets with the holiday spirit on Saturday, December 6 starting at 11a.m. The parade begins at Emma Anderson Memorial Church and continues through the downtown area, finishing at the Assembly Building.
Topsail's Jingle Bell BallThe holiday fun continues on Saturday, December 6 with the 9th Annual Jingle Bell Ball at the Topsail Island Assembly Building. The festivities begin at 6:30p.m. This is one of Topsail's premiere events. Come dressed up and ready to eat, drink, dance and be merry. It's the Christmas party of the season celebrated in true island style and benefiting the Historical Society of Topsail Island.
Breakfast with Santa in Surf CityHo, ho, ho! Did you know that Santa loves to kick off his boots and put his toes in the sand? Well, he does.
Be sure to bring the kiddos to have Breakfast with Santa in Surf City on Saturday, December 13. The Surf City Community Center is the place to be at 8a.m. sharp. Enjoy a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausage and beverages with some jolly friends. Mr. and Mrs. Claus are there until 10a.m. and plenty of photo ops abound. There are free crafts for the kids, too.
Make the morning extra special for someone else by bringing a non-perishable food item, unwrapped gift or monetary donation with you to benefit those in need in our local community. 'Tis the season for giving.
Parents Night Out in TopsailWhat does every parent want for Christmas? A night out on the town! Saturday night, December 13 is just for you. Come out to the Surf City Community Center as it hosts Parents Night Out from 5:30 to 8:30p.m. You get a fun night out kid-free to do whatever you desire and the kids get a night filled with festive fun including games, crafts, karaoke, movies and snacks. It's for kids ages 4 and older and there's plenty of fun to go around.
